These days, it would seem that you would only be able to communicate with a friend face-to-face if you wanted to. You could call them on the phone or meet up in person. Alternatively, you can play video games together using online connections instead of having to gather around a physical game console. Even though we sometimes feel like hanging out with people, we have compiled a list of the Best PS4 Multiplayer Games for when you do actually want to spend time with your friends.

The major online modes include intense infantry combat, frantic hero duels, and Starfighter Assault which lets you fight in space.
23. ARK: Survival Evolved
We may have failed to explore the Earth or develop spaceflight, but we’ve arrived just in time for one of the most exciting new developments in video games: massive, open-world titles. This beautiful environment is home to mythical creatures like phoenixes, griffins, and wyverns alongside prehistoric plants and animals. You’ll need your intelligence as well as your strength to survive you’re merely a species competing with others at lower levels of the food chain. New patches are released frequently since 2017, so there’s never been a better time to get started playing ARK!
22. NBA 2K22
NBA 2K22 is one of the most popular basketball games on the market. It has high-quality visuals, gameplay that is close to being authentic, and a price tag that is well worth it. For those who are fans of the sport, or have had a few drinks, it can be hard to believe that this game isn’t actually based on reality. However, despite its flaws (which are mostly due to limitations in technology), NBA 2K22 remains one of the best basketball sims available.
21. Fall Guys
The easiest battle royale game is Fall Guys. It’s great fun, and the adorable creatures make it addictive. Mediatonic created a game that is easy to play thanks to the platforming, quick rounds, and luck – all of which add up to an excellent experience.
20. Red Dead Redemption
Multiplayer for Red Dead Redemption 2 is surprisingly fun if you can locate players who are not prone to sneaking up on you and tying ropes around your necks. Rockstar was able to successfully transform the game’s single-player world into a multiplayer adventure that is just as enjoyable.
19. Risk of Rain 2
In this action-packed game, you and your team of allies fight against waves of enemies while trying to collect power-ups. But the harder it gets, the longer you stay on a level. The graphics are incredibly vivid and eye-catching, making it hard not to return for more playtime.
18. Play Grand Theft Auto V
The multiplayer features of Grand Theft Auto V extended well beyond just driving people over. But when you are finished you’ve covered the area in cult-like graffiti!
17. Racing Crash Team: Nitro-Fueled
Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled is a compilation of all the previous CTR games with additional material and fan service to make you cry. It’s the only kart racing game worth its weight, except for Mario Kart. We love it so much that Radical Entertainment was even willing to reveal their secret passion project–a new Crash game set in the world of Bandicoot! Additionally, I’m sure you’re looking for anything that can get your Bandicoot mood going because Crash 4 is coming soon.
16. Fortnite
I’ll pretend that I don’t love playing this baby game with my brother, and will instead insist it is nothing more than a trivial diversion. In reality, I have a lot of fun engaging in crossover battles and enjoying the captivating gameplay. If you’d like to meet up on the battle bus, that’s fine too.
15. Diablo III
Diablo is an important game for those who want to play something other than shooters. It has been released annually since 1997, and it continues to be a popular choice among the gaming community due to its class-based gameplay and loot system. Although I don’t have any cooking experience, Overcooked! does a great job of describing what it’s like.

13. Shadowbringers: Final Fantasy XIV
Back in high school, I remember being impressed by the fact that you could create your own character and play with them in RuneScape. Well now, thanks to Final Fantasy XIV’s online version, you can do just that! FF14 is one of the most expansive MMOs out there—it offers hours upon hours of content for players. It’s a great game and an incredibly immersive world to explore.

Monster hunting is an exciting and action-packed game that involves fighting against large, free-spirited monsters. For example, You can dress up as Alloy from Horizon Zero Dawn or Geralt from The Witcher in crossover appearances in Street Fighter, Mega Man, and Final Fantasy games on PS4.
11. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
Although it has fallen out of favor, Modern Warfare and Warzone have allowed COD to recover its crown, with nearly free-to-play Warzone being particularly attractive to many players. Nevertheless, the competitive community still remains intense, and competitive players tend to gravitate towards free-to-play Modern Warfare. It is a pleasant way to be destroyed in COD once more. However, it seems like the Russian zombie-themed game will play a significant role in the upcoming COD battle.

Overwatch is one of the most popular and well-loved video games on this list. It’s a first-person shooter that is both entertaining and difficult to master, making it unsuitable for professional gamers. Esquire magazine isn’t up there competing against pro players in an arena setting any time soon.
9. Rainbow Six Siege by Tom Clancy
I am never going to gain XP in this game again if I keep shooting my team. They’re always telling me, but as a few good friends constantly remind me, I have poor trigger discipline. Rainbow Six Siege is the new game that’s been out for what feels like forever, and it will continue to be popular because of its different mode compared to shooters’ typical death match. The game differs from traditional shooter modes by having teams of five players complete predetermined objectives. In order to keep things interesting for players, Rainbow Six consistently releases new operatives and content updates.
8. The Elder Scrolls Online
Skyrim is a popular MMORPG that’s been around for many years. While it isn’t quite the same as an MMO anymore, it’s still a great game set in the same world. The Elder Scrolls Online captures all of the fun and excitement we experienced back in the early 2000s, only it’s much better now due to its polished design. MMORPGs are no longer what they used to be – thank goodness!

There is no game in this list that is stranger, more nerve-wracking, or more addictive than Rocket League. This popular combination of soccer and automobiles offers players a unique experience not found in any other game. Streets of Rage 4, a retro arcade game with online multiplayer, provides an updated experience over its predecessors. In my opinion, it’s the perfect successor to the quarter-eater ambiance found in earlier entries in the series. So there you have it–all you need to know is that I’m done now.
3. Minecraft
Minecraft is all about mining and creating, so it would seem straightforward. But the game has a hidden depth that lies beyond its simple facade. I imagine that this versatility makes Minecraft well-suited for hosting graduation parties as well as constructing replicas of Death Stars.
2. FIFA 22
